Edit a relation

Relations can be modified after they have been created. Editing a relation allows you to update the names used in the interface and adjust linkage rules.

1. Open the relations view

Open Database → Relations from the navigation menu.

Locate the relation you want to edit.

2. Open the relation menu

Click the menu icon at the end of the row.

This opens the actions menu for the relation.

Tip
You can also double-click the row to open the edit dialog.

3. Select edit

Choose Edit from the menu.

4. Update the relation

In the Edit relation dialog you can modify:

Source side

  • Source relation name
  • Source relation API name
  • Linkage rules from source table

Linkage rules include:

  • No restrictions
  • Prevent creating new rows
  • Prevent linking existing rows
  • None

Target side

  • Target relation name
  • Target relation API name
  • Linkage rules from target table

5. Save the changes

Click Save to apply the updated settings.

The changes will immediately take effect in the system.
